Do it Yourself Fashion Makeover
By Priyanka Arora

Being yourself is the best thing you can do to outshine the rest, but a little revamping in your wardrobe and style really doesn't hurt a thing; it gives you a little more attention when needed, and even when you don't need it. It is always appreciated when someone notices a slight change in you either emotionally or physically. It is not hard to achieve a makeover by yourself, follow these simple steps for a sexier twist without going overboard; it is all about adding unexpected and original finishes to your regular look.

Challenge yourself to wear a classic garment where it is not normally worn, like a skirt as a dress or a man's shirt as your shirt or dress with a belt to hold it up. Accessories also work wonders, a nice combination of necklaces, a hair piece or hat, even a belt or non matching shoes can always mark a trend that people can comment about. A nice hair Up-do with a dashing pair of big earrings that almost touch your shoulders is always a way to attract attention of others, especially other women which are always the ones to decide who is a trendsetter. Dare to be teasingly sexy by wearing a classic little black dress with a surprise, maybe an open back or transparencies and laces for a suggestive look. Don't forget red lipstick, you may think it is too much, but it looks great with everything and when worn right, it screams femininity.

You can also makeover your look depending to your location, if you are planning a weekend getaway to the beach; exotic ethnic looks are the favorite style. Sarongs, hemp pants, straw hats and big sunglasses. If on the other side, you prefer to go on an outdoor adventure like the hiking, camping or skiing, wear the specialized gear for these activities without loosing fashion sense; use fun colors and textiles so you don't look like everyone else that is enjoying the same activities.

Some of the most famous Hollywood makeovers have been portrayed in the big screen for years; Cinderella can be the best example for every girl, as well as Audrey Hepburn in Sabrina and My Fair Lady. Sandy in Grease left aside her good girl image without looking too sexy on the final scene. Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman and most recently Anne Hathaway in The Devil wears Prada are some other examples of famous makeovers that aren't too far away from real life.

If some extra pounds are holding you back from looking more fashionable, you can wear a body slip or soft layers to hide some of your excess baggage. Wearing stilettos can always give you more length and sleekness and an oversized handbag can also play tricks on the eyes.

Have fun with your clothes and if you don't feel comfortable, then don't wear it. Confidence should also be the first thing you try on when looking for a new look.
